Adecco are currently recruiting for a PEOPLE OFFICER to work REMOTELY for a West London Local Authority.

FULL TIME - 36 HOURS PER

TEMPORARY ROLE - 3 MONTHS (Possible extension)

£20.10 per hour PAYE / £26.02 per hour Umbrella

As the People Officer, you will work in support of People Business Partners and be responsible for the provision of first level advice and coaching to managers on employee relations matters. Additionally, you will collaborate with People Business Partners and the Schools and Commercial Business Partner on recruitment, the preparation of MI data and HR related projects as required.

You will assist the CAS transition into a new operational service delivery model as well and being confident in providing support to managers on employee relations matters and casework.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Work collaboratively with your colleagues to ensure that the Hounslow employee journey and experience is the very best that it can be, and that the organisational development plan is delivered to time and budget.
Advise and support managers on people processes including but not limited to performance management, contractual changes, recruitment and induction.
Enable managers to effectively manage their people by providing first level advice on employee relations issues including sickness, capability, conduct and grievance, and advising on risk, escalating more complex queries to an appropriate Business Partner as necessary.
Work as a team with other People Officers ensuring consistency and quality of advice across different directorates.
Support managers and Business Partners with job sizing, job evaluation, resourcing and workforce planning.
Work closely with colleagues in transactional HR services to ensure a seamless and efficient customer focused service.
Keep abreast of changes to employment legislation and internal policies.
Contribute to the production and formatting of management information (MI) reports offering insights required by people business partners and / or designated business areas.
Support Business Partners in projects including reviewing policies and procedures, creating toolkits for managers and upskilling sessions on key people related topics.
Contribute positively to the organisation's on-going partnership with staff side and trade union representatives, ensuring individual and collective issues are identified and dealt with or escalated as necessary.
Be a proactive member of the business partnering team, share learning, every day, so that the team is able to be the very best that it can be.
