Job Details
My client is a multinational automotive parts manufacturing company in Birmingham and as a result of an internal promotion they are looking to recruit a Production Team Leader.
As a Production Team Leader you would be responsible for safety, quality and production for a specific product area reporting to a Group Leader.
Role Requirements:
- Awareness of TS16949 procedures
- Maintain high standards of quality control at all times. Making judgements on quality and escalating any issues
- To constantly improve and develop the manufacturing process to ensure an efficient operation
- To carry out tool changes to the correct change frequency
- To ensure pre-set tooling is maintained and ready at point of use
- Strong people manager to complete tasks such as allocating work, conducting return to work meetings and training
- Good IT knowledge to complete all relevant paperwork on monitoring performance and scrap
- A positive attitude to unfamiliar manufacturing processes and a keenness to gain experience as the company expands
Shift Patterns:
Two shift patterns worked 0600 to 1400 & 1600 to 0000.
Overtime:
Two hours essential overtime at the end of every shift paid at time and a third for afternoon finishes & time and a half for night finishes.
Successful candidates would also be expected to make themselves available for at least one weekend day every other week paid at time and a half.
