Tachograph / PDI Technician (Commercial Vehicle)

A fantastic and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tachograph / PDI Technician to join an established Service Team at a Commercial Vehicle company located in the Shropshire area.

Based in a clean modern working environment this truly is an exciting time to become part of a professional and well established team. The successful candidate will have been working in a similar role and with have at least 2 years previous Tachograph experience, working in a Commercial Vehicle environment.

Key responsibilities:-

• Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer's procedures;

• Ensure repairs and calibrations are carried out according to DVSA regulations;

• Ensure all documentation is processed and filed according to DVSA regulations;

• Assist in fault diagnosis;

• Ensure repairs are carried out within manufacturer standard / DVSA times;

• Comply with warranty procedures during repairs;

• Carry out PDI / new vehicle checks;

• Ensure that the company time recording procedures are complied with;

• Be flexible to cover holidays with extended shifts.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (40 hours per week) and every other Saturday (8.00am to 1.00pm) .

Excellent remuneration benefits are offered to include a starting salary up to c£25,000 / £12ph (plus overtime), together with a generous pension scheme etc. Immediate start available. Genuine straight permanent job opportunity with excellent career prospects.
