The Role;

Maintain hire fleet equipment to a good standard of usability, operation and safety through an efficient and cost-effective repair process

The responsibilities;

Maintain a safe, organised and well stocked workspace and mobile fitter pack containing all the equipment and tools required to carry out repairs

Receive damaged or non-serviceable equipment from Servicing team and log it onto Syrinx system as fleet or customer equipment under repair along with full equipment details and notes of problem

Inspect all hire fleet tools for repair within 5 working days and provide repair estimates for Plant & Stock Manager (if cost is more than 25% of machine value), or arrange for manufacturer warrantee work to be carried out if applicable

Review all estimated repairs with Plant & Stock Manager on Monday of each week to decide whether to go ahead, dispose of, or return equipment

Proceed with approved repairs by ordering any parts required and recording all costs including time spent charged as labour. Ensure correct parts are used from stock on system.

Carry out repair work to equipment and upon completion test the machine fully before supplying 'Ready for use' paperwork and identification

Once complete, mark repairs complete on the Syrinx system.

Be prepared to attend to site breakdowns of fleet equipment within 2 hours of fault being reported. 1. Always contact the person responsible on site by phone to confirm the problem and resolve if possible. 2. If still unresolved and we have a suitable exchange item available, offer it with an ETA. and would be delivered by the next available driver. 3. If all else fails, and we have the needed parts or can repair, arrange a call out.

Coordinate which items of equipment need to be scrapped and can be disposed of (i.e. sent to auction, etc)

Be flexible and willing to assist any part of the operation

Syrinx Software (Expert)

Candidate must hold a full UK driving license be IPAF & CAP qualified to be considered for the above role.
