Social Worker - Harrow Council
Service Care Solutions are looking for a qualified children's social worker to join the First Response Team with Harrow Council on a permanent basis. The role includes being responsible for assessments for children in need, including those in need of protection, children looked after and those subject to care proceedings.

CONTRACT - Permanent
SALARY - £34,545 - £42,492 depending on experience
HOURS - full time

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
*Active SW England Registration
*Satisfactory Enhanced DBS
*Recognised SW Qualification
*A minimum of 3 year's experience
*Must have experience of working in a First Response Team
ROLE DUTIES
*To undertake initial and core assessments of children and families in accordance with the Assessment Framework
*To ensure every allocated child has an up to date and outcome focused plan that clearly states the action, responsible professional and agreed time scale for completion
*To prepare and present reports for a range of purposes, including child protection conferences, child looked after reviews and court, and ensure that these produced are to a high quality standard
*To hold a current driving license for use within the UK and to have daily access to the use of a car for work purposes
*To establish partnerships with Parents/Carers and work together with other professionals and partner agencies to reach agreements about the best way to affect change and secure a positive outcome for each allocated child/young person
*To ensure all new referrals are brought to the attention of the Senior Practitioner/Team manager so that management action can be provided in a prompt and timely manner
*To ensure all correspondence and written notes detailing the outcomes and decisions from meetings with children/young people and parents/carers are distributed promptly
