Purpose of the role
Purpose of the role As an Intake Operative you will have the ability to understand and adhere to food hygiene procedures. Comply with company policies and procedures and be able to follow instructions as directed by Section Manager or other members of the management team. You will adhere to health and safety and bird welfare at all times.
Depending on your department, the key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all birds are correctly placed on the production line whilst observing strict bird welfare requirements
Wearing the required and correct PPE at all times
Cleaning equipment and modules on a rotation schedule
Lifting in the region of 2kg per bird on a repetitive basis What we are looking for:
The ability to work well within a team and communicate with all levels of staff
Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
Experience within a production/manufacturing setting showing an understanding of a fast moving process is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided Working hours for an Intake Operative are Monday to Friday (4 days out of 5) 06:15 to 18:00 or Sunday to Thursday, Sunday – 15:30 to 02:35, Monday to Thursday - 17:50 to 02:35
