My client, a successful food distributor is looking for the successful candidate to join their team as a Stock Controller. The successful candidate will make sure all shop orders are issued both quickly and accurately as well as ensuring that aims are achieved and targets are met in a safe and efficient manner.

The successful candidate will join my clients well established logistics operation who specialise in the distribution of food and fresh herb products.
Description
The successful stock controller will join my clients operation and undertake the following roles and responsibilities:
Understand relevant KPI's and performance targets in your area
To inform the Stock manager and QC teams of any raw material that falls outside the current product specification.
Report any quantity or quality issue which you are unable to resolve to the Line Manager.
To communicate and achieve daily targets (including zero down time relating to stock issues).
To assist the other member of the stock team as required.
Recommend areas for improvement within your team to achieve maximum efficiency's.
Complete stock count as required for all departments.
Support your Manager in trying to achieve the team's productivity target.
To correctly locate product into cold stores following the layout plans.
Maximise team productivity through good organisation and motivation of your team.
Work with other members of the stock team, to achieve agreed daily targets.
Assist with stock audits, ensuring all stock has been used in date rotation and any actions completed.
Ensure all raw stock transfers are completed, in line with standard procedures.
To ensure raw stock transfers as allocated are completed quickly and in line with standard procedures.
To ensure all shop orders can be issued correctly, including any substitutions.
To ensure your team are following the label check procedure.
To implements and enforce the knife control policy.
To ensure you and other staff are wearing the correct work wear.
To follow, enforce and train all standard operating procedures (SOP's)/Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
To ensure forward production plans can be met with the forecast in bound schedule.Profile
The successful candidate will live within commuting distance to my clients operation and have the following attributes:
Previous experience in stock control or a warehouse environment.
Work as part of a skilled team.
Communicate effectively.
Adopt a problem solving .approach
Be flexible and proactive.
Ability to organise a team.
Ability to motivate a team.
Ability to set and achieve targets.
Plan effectively and prioritise.
Ability to work under pressure.
