HR Advisor - Learning and Development
Job Details
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established, leading manufacturer, based in Market Drayton, Shropshire. Reporting to the HR Manager, the ideal candidate will possess relevant advisory experience ideally from a Manufacturing/Production industry background.
The purpose of this HR Advisor role is to lead and develop the training team and ensure all routine training is completed within the required time frame.
To be training & development support to both production and office employees. To Develop an effective and harmonious relationship with both management and colleauges.
To carry out key tasks in line with business requirements to ensure compliance with training records. To provide flexible support to cover absence, sickness and holiday within the team.
Key Accountabilities
What Good Looks Like
Employee Communication
· Encouraging and identifying development opportunities
· Identifying training opportunities
· Communicating good news stories and successes within the business to encourage internal development
Compliance in training records
· Ensuring all training records are updated to an auditable standard
Capture Learning & Development statistics
· Accuratley capturing hours spent training within the business
· Ensuring PDR's are completed throughout the business
· Updating training matrix's to reflect advancements in training
· Training Levy Drawdown
· Training hours analysis
Training Resources
· Identifying and costing additional resources, to enhance the induction and training process
Training Levy
· To access and utilise the training levy funding available
· To ensure better use of levy to maximise benefit
Succession Plan
· To create role specific succession plans
· To work with individuals specifically to create individual succession plans
PDR's
· Training needs analysis
· Advising training Plans for personal and company use
Induction
· Support the delivery of company inductions to auditable standard
· Support with development and suggest improvements in development
Buddy System
· To develop, deliver and evaluate a buddy system for new employees in production
Group Leader & Shift Manager Programme
· To develop a group leader and shift manager progression programme, aligning to a national standard and utilising levy funding
· Deliver group leader/ Shift manager progression programme
Mandatory Training
· Ensure full compliance in training records
Apprenticeships
· Assist with the engineering recruitment process
· Identify what other apprenticeships are available and relevant to our business requirements
Key Skills Required for the role:
- Planning, organisation and project management
- Strong HR experience with specialism in learning, development or training
- Communicating at different levels of seniority
- Presentation skills
- Attention to detail
- Identifying solutions
- Basic computing skills
