Manpower is recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor on behalf of a large food producer based in the Dungannon area
Excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer with some Supervisory experience to further their career with a large Northern Ireland food producer
This is a hands on supervisory role so you still be working directly on machinery but will also act as a Lead Engineer/ Supervisor over the maintenance team
The Role
Ensure maintenance schedules and programmes are followed for all factory machinery, equipment and systems
Manage team performance, productivity and development of other maintenance engineers
Carry out installation, maintenance and repairs to electrical and mechanical equipment
Provide technical support to the maintenance team
Ensure factory machinery and systems operate continuously and safely
Help identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies
Ensure company policies, procedures and health & safety practices are followed
Coordinate and oversee activities of maintenance engineers
Ensure training and development plans for engineers and apprentices are implemented
Manage department costs, reporting on KPI's and communicate regularly with Engineering Manager on any projects or issues
What we are looking for
Qualified in electrical or mechanical discipline (or both)
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment, preferably some food production experience
Have over 1 years' experience in a Supervisory or Management role
Proven experience with problem solving and fault diagnostics
Experience developing a team, with the ability lead, motivate and manage performance
Ability to communicate effectively at various levels and work to deadlines/ targets
Shift pattern involves 3 rotations which includes some weekend working
