The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work within a Dorset based luxury house developer who have been building superior homes in beautiful locations across Dorset Hampshire for numerous years. They are looking for someone who can operate as an Land Manager to join their busy and growing team.
As part of their continued growth, a position has become available at their Head Office in Southampton. You will be reporting directly to the Land Director and be given a degree of autonomy to identify potential new acquisitions.
The Role
As the Land Manager, you will be responsible for investigating and apprising all sites for development. The successful candidate will be targeted to in relation to the number of sites to be visited, inspected and reported on per month and will cover Dorset and Hampshire.
Maintain development liaison with property professionals both to project a good Company image and to ensure that information on land suitable for development is fed through by Estate Agents and alike.
Required to make formal appraisal of all available information obtained from the Press, Estate Agents or other sources on sites coming to the market.
Maintain records on all work carried out to include details of all market research, land values and other relevant information regarding possible use of land. Log basic details of every site that has been introduced to the Company in the Land Database, whilst updating and maintaining the Regional Plan document, so that management and Planning Issues can keep abreast of the progress of sites currently being pursued.
Carry out detailed market research and obtain necessary information to brief the Land Director in order to establish the type of housing units envisaged and to estimate the potential of the proposed development.
Carry out "cold-calling" on all sites considered suitable for residential development and progress with a formal letter visit if the site is worthy of pursuing.
Desirable Criteria
Previous experience in a similar role working for a Residential Developer
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably in a related subject
Proven negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills
Sound commercial understanding and awareness
Personable and presentable
