We're looking for an experienced and versatile Supply Chain Specialist who has broad domain knowledge of an end to end Supply Chain supporting manufacturing operations.

The candidate will provide key support to the Procurement Manager and will provide and analyse key performance data and assist with the implementation of continuous improvement activities.

The role will be varied and hands on and will include leading NPI / Indirect Purchasing, production planning and scheduling along with general stock control and warehousing management.

The selected candidate will have a "Can-Do" attitude and be IT proficient in order to analyse and present performance data. The candidate will need to have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate to all external and internal stakeholders.

Lead NPI Purchasing activities:
Identify Suppliers and Onboard in line with company procedures.
Manage RFQ process and complete full quote analysis in order to present the best total cost supply route for the business.
Place and manage Pre Production Prototype Purchase Orders and control process through to Production PO's handover.
Participate and present updates in Weekly Engineering NPI meetings.
Work closely internally with the Engineering Department on all NPI activity.

Support Indirect Purchasing activities:
Convert Purchase Order Requisitions in to Purchase Orders raised via the POR process.
Manage PO life cycle from placement to invoice approval.
Re-negotiate, tender expiring Indirect Services Contracts.
Ensure Departmental Spend Budgets are maintained.
Achieve Cost savings in line with Targets.

Production Planning & Scheduling
Using system tools, identify schedule and raise Works Orders for the Assembly Department.
Issue and kit components to Works Orders raised.
Complete Works Orders in Sage ERP system.
Ensure Jobs are completed in line with the Schedule.
Record and present Key Performance Indicator metrics.

Stock Control & Warehousing
Support Stock Control activities, including stock transfers.
Help manage and maintain Warehouse and Bin locations.
Assist the Procurement Manager with the setting and management of Minimum stock levels.
Capture and report on Cycle count activities.
