Materials Administration – Planner – Demand Planner – Supply Chain Administrator
Based in Sunderland

Salary £23,00pa
This role takes responsibility for planning and scheduling goods and materials from the supplier base. In addition ensuring there is a suitable supply of components to meet production needs.
You will need to have experience in a manufacturing company, ideally high volume, ideally engineering.
Role overview
• Daily schedule the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements
• Issue forecast schedules to suppliers for long term planning ensuring 100 % accuracy
• Assess schedule forecast versus actual call offs for accuracy of data
• Assess stock levels and ensuring production needs are met and maintain agreed stock levels
• Plan the delivery of product to agreed delivery point and time bucket
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counting and investigation
• Communicate daily any issue that may affect the production schedule
• Generate monthly end of month stock figures and overall schedule deliveries by Supplier
• Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers
• Support supplier meetings and negotiations ensuring demands are met
• Generate and report on Supplier performance (Vendor Rating)
• Manage introduction of New Level Parts (design change) ensuring minimum obsolescence of old level part
• Manage end of model life products ensuring minimum obsolescence
• Project manage in new parts introductions
• Manage and control daily issues ie , Supplier Quality, missed deliveries etc
• Use Internal company systems and MRP spreadsheets
• Ability to use Microsoft office , excel, word, email
• Ability to understand bill of materials , composition list
