Senior Production Controller
* Washington, Tyne & Wear
* £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
* Full Time, Permanent
A Tier 1 automotive manufacturer with multiple large-scale UK operations is on the lookout for a Senior Production Controller to lead their busy planning department.
The successful candidate will have a high-volume manufacturing background and hold overall responsibility for implementing production processes and capacity planning.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Capacity Planning creating master production plans and long-term capacity planning
* System development - Working with Production, Logistics, and IT departments to identifying areas to improve on current bespoke applications
* Overseeing a busy planning department regarding daily tasks and people management.
* Managing the Planning department budgets
* Creating plans to achieve KPI's.
* Key contact for suppliers, managing long-term and short-term forecasting
* Coordinate with Logistics Seniors to ensure timely arrival of required components
* Create and implement new solutions to scheduling challenges
* Work with the relevant engineering and supply chain teams to improve production planning and delivery processes
* Overall responsibility for vendor ratings and delivery reports
Knowledge and Experience:
* Degree level qualification or similar
* Previous Management experience within a busy planning department
* Proven ability to work from and create bill of materials
* Previous experience working within an engineering or heavy manufacturing facility
* Excellent IT systems experience (MRP spreadsheets, Excel etc.)
