My client based in Milnthorpe is a well established, award winning, UK market leading company, specialising in the design and manufacture of commercial, custom built vehicle products.
They have a great opportunity for a full-time, qualified or part-qualified Electrician, to work alongside their team of electricians.
The role involves working on new build commercial trailers and containers. In addition, there will be internal maintenance work on equipment and buildings. The ideal candidate will need to be able to work mainly unsupervised and also be able to monitor production of their own work for quality and conformance with set specifications.
Key aspects of the role are:
Install and repair electrical and electronic systems in large vehicles
Fault finding
Auto electric and PLC systems work (training will be given)
In house electrical maintenance including PAT testing
Systems testing
Liaise with clients to identify and fix faults
Commercial electrical experience would be desirableThe ideal candidate will:
Be in possession of relevant qualifications
Possess good problem solving skills
Be able to read electrical wiring plans
Possess up to date knowledge of modern electrical systems and auto products
Possess a good understanding and knowledge of working from circuit diagrams and drawings
Possess a good understanding of the diagnostics and installation of trailer electronic braking systems.The role offers great career prospects and a negotiable salary and overtime is often available (paid at time and a half). And we also offer 30 days holiday, including bank and public holidays.
