Job Details
My well established, award winning, UK market leading client, specialising in the design and manufacture of commercial, custom built vehicle products, many of which are patented, including lifting roofs, hydraulic deck levelling systems ,safety lift locking systems, to name just a few.
They have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Hydraulic Fitter to support an existing team, installing new and repairing hydraulic systems, mainly on commercial vehicles and associated equipment. Previous experience working in a similar role is preferred although newly qualified fitters would be considered.
The role involves:
· Electrical/hydraulic fitting and electro-mechanical assembly techniques
· Hydraulic end of line testing
· Diagnosing, checking and setting the mechanical systems.
· Assisting staff and clients with technical queries
The ideal candidate will:
· Show willingness to contribute new ideas to the design team to improve current vehicles
· Have extensive hydraulic system knowledge
· Have basic knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to read electrical/hydraulic schematic drawings
· Be adaptable and able to work in other areas, such as plant and machinery repairs on site
· Good general knowledge of engineering processes
Personal qualities
· Have a can do attitude
· Team player
