The Search Consultancy Professional Services are helping our client to find a committed and articulate Customer Service Assistant to join their expanding team in Gateshead. This temporary Customer Service Assistant role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain admin and customer service experience within an inclusive and collaborative culture.
As a Customer Service Assistant in Gateshead, you will be earning an initial salary of £11.59 p/h, with a contract that lasts until the end of March 2021.
You will be working from home initially during the pandemic.
In this Customer Service Assistant role, you will receive and respond to repair queries including first time repair reporting and any queries that can be answered at the first point of contact, via telephone, email, service requests and any other source. In this job you will also carry out a range of related administrative support tasks.
As a Customer Service Assistant you will use all appropriate IT and telecommunications software to carry out allocated tasks in the most efficient manner and to maximise service delivery.
The ideal Customer Service Assistant will:
* Have minimum of 5 GCSE's or equivalent at grade A-C or 9 - 4 (including Maths and English) or relevant demonstratable experience
* Have knowledge of Microsoft Office and be able to work on your own initiative in resolving service-related problems
* Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of equality and diversity and the ability to evidence how this would be displayed within the workplace
* Have experience of dealing with callers in a professional, caring and helpful manner
This Customer Service Assistant role requires someone with excellent organisational and time management skills as there are numerous priorities to manage at any one time. You'll need to be flexible and willing to step up to help the team with any task. Above all, you will be collaborative, enthusiastic and used to working in a professional services environment.
