TATA Steel are currently recruiting for Covid Stewards to join their team ready for December's maintenance shut down. You will be facilitating a rapid testing capability to ensure a safe working environment for all maintenance personnel, on a daily basis.

You will be required for a pilot week starting 30/11/20, followed by 2 weeks of shift work; week 1 will be 0530hrs to 1200hrs and week 2 will be 1730hrs to 2000hrs. The total length of this contract will be 21 days but this has the possibility to go on longer. During this period you will be required to work 7 days per week. Following successful completion of this contract, you will be awarded a completion bonus of £200.

All PPE and training will be provided for the duration of this contract, in addition, you will be required to have a daily COVID Test before each shift. Before starting this position, you will be required to have a pre placement medical, this will contain a drugs and alcohol test.

The ideal candidate will

Be available for the duration of the contract
Must be able to drive
Agree to daily testing
Must be IT competent in order to use the phones and online timesheets
MUST be available to work weekends
Be able to accommodate the shifts
Have no underlying health issues that would put you in the 'at risk' category
You must be over 18 and in general good health with no symptoms of COVID-19, nor must anyone in your household.
Be flexible in case of an extension beyond the end of contract date

Your responsibilities

Issue unused Covid-19 Test Kits along with with barcodes and registration cards to individuals along with a short brief
Engaging with staff to support them through the testing process
Ensure the safety of all individuals within the test centre
Maintain high levels of personal hygiene
Control levels of traffic within the site
Collect and deliver sealed Covid-19 Test kits to Testing Lab
Receive Covid-19 Test Kits to process through solution tubes to determine outcome of test

Experience is not required in this role but the ability to work in a professional, courteous and timely manner is essential.

Shifts

7 day working
Day Shift: 05:30 - 12:00 (6.5 hours)
Twilight Shift: 17:30 - 20:00 (2.5 hours)
