Job Details
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Responsible to: Operations Director
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Call out every other week (nights) and weekend
Job Purpose: To provide swift and accurate servicing and maintenance of all production related equipment
Key Accountabilities
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting electrical, electronic and mechanical problems on machines
Drive a pro-active maintenance and repair approach
Ensure that adequate and appropriate spare parts are readily available
Person Specification
Must have recognised Industrial Electrical qualification up to IEE 17th Edition if possible
Have experience of working as a multi-skilled maintenance electrician with the ability to carry out mechanical repairs preferable in the printing industry although this is not essential
Be able to read and fault find from electrical and electronic schematic drawings
Have some experience of working with a mechanical maintenance schedule
Good verbal communication and the ability to communicate complex technical information to Managers, suppliers and OEMs
Needs to be self-motivated and ability to apply initiative when tackling repairs and maintenance
Working Knowledge of PLC controls, primarily Siemens, and Inverter AC Drives
Computer literate with some knowledge of Windows operating systems and hardware
