SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in Stafford required.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic SEND TA / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants in an outstanding Special Needs School in Staffordshire.
The school is for students with SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, MLD / Moderate Learning Difficulties and autism. They are aged 11 - 18 with complex and profound needs. The post requires caring and talented SEND TAs / Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants who are dedicated to supporting children with educational needs.
All applicants must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Due to the nature of the students attending the school the role may require personal care.
You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher.
The role will include:
Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
1-1 work with students who require additional support
Leading group work
Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
