Job Title: Finance Systems Analyst
Locaiton: Fareham
Salary: £32,000-£35,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Purpose of the role / Key Responsibilities
We are recruiting for a UK wide business, based in Fareham, to support their search for a Finance Systems Analyst.
The role requirements / day to day of the Finance Systems Analyst are:
Analysis of various key information for the use of the business
Work on current bespoke system and migration of a new system for Finance
Ensuring that information flows properly into and out of the payroll system
Uploading data on mass using dedicated software and managing system workflows
Ensuring proper distribution of expenses, payroll, and payslips
Liaising with third party providers, including payroll providers
To ensure that all payroll systems satisfy the Company's internal and external reporting and audit requirements.
Perform payroll admin duties when cover is needed
Working with both Finance and IT to help resolve any technical issues that arise
Create and produce analysis report on supplier payment reporting and gender pay gap reporting information
Process month end journals
Complete Balance Sheet Reconciliations monthly ready for review
Ad-hoc projects
Detailed tasks
Analysis of sales reporting required
Fixed assets, payroll and any other required by the business
Work alongside with IT and Finance to research and migrate current accounting system to a more robust system across the group
Use of payroll system input and output information monthly for Payroll
Input payroll data as of when required, including driver and overtime hours
Amend and update current bespoke system
Produce and collate information for supplier payment reporting from all companies
Use payroll system to calculate figures needed for gender pay gap reporting to be ready for review and submission
Prepare and upload monthly journals including those for prepayment and accruals with responsibility of the nominal accounts
Work through Balance Sheet nominals monthly by checking the P&L ensuring no incorrect expenditure has occurredSkills and Qualifications
Strong MS Excel and computer skills with knowledge in Macro's and VBA
Sound knowledge of computer software and systems
Previous experience of dealing with payroll (desired)
Interest in programming
Hands on and takes ownership
Good organisational and time management skills
Honest and reliable
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
