Transport Planning Manager - Ambient Food Distribution

We are still looking for a transport Manager and are looking to get interviews in ASAP for a large ambient food distributor in Nottingham.

Location- Nottingham- need to be within 45 minutes as they will be required to be on the call out duty
Candidates need to be flexible as the working shifts can vary depending on the Management team rota ( Need to be able to work between 6am and 10pm). May need to take calls out of hours from Drivers at times.
It's a salaried position so no overtime
Must have National CPC as minimum
Desirable to have experience using Max Optra route planning software
Ideally from similar sector experience- Ideally food
Must be hands on. This isn't a sit down transport Manager role. Its very fast paced, you will have to juggle your time between planning, liaising with drivers, sales reps, supporting the warehouse shift managers to ensure the orders are picked accurately, on time and in full as well as ensuring legal compliance.
You need to be able to hit the ground running as we are coming into peak, so you will need to learn on the job and be confident to do so.
