HOUSING OFFICER
HOUNSLOW
£17-18 HOURLY RATE
MONDAY - FRIDAY- 8.45AM - 5PM
3 MONTH ASSIGNMENT (POSSIBILITY OF BEING EXTENDED)
IMMEDIATE START
HOUSING OFFICER'S MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist tenants in sustaining their tenancy by referrals to agencies that can help with their support need such as financial inclusion, welfare benefits and debt/legal advice.
Manage multiple tenures in a defined geographical patch and deal with all service requests.
Provide guidance, advice and information relating to the lease/ tenancy/ licence.
Quality assure the standard and consistency of repairs & maintenance to properties and estates.
Ensure communal areas and estates are clean, safe and well maintained through regular monitoring and inspection
Establish a good rental payment culture among residents providing them with advice on the best, most cost-effective method of payment and penalties for non-payment.
Raise awareness of welfare reform and universal credit implications and oversee activities to assist residents sustain their tenancy
THE HOUSING OFFICER MUST HAVE:
A minimum of 2 years generic Housing officer experience
Experience in tenancy management
Experience in income recovery
Experience carrying out estate inspections
A customer first approach to work
Please note that this role will be working remotely with visits as/ when required. You must have a full UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle in order to carry out these visits.
