Accountant (Qualified)

A rare opportunity has arisen to join one of Cheshire's leading, most established Accountancy practices who pride themselves on delivering exceptional support to their clients in terms of delivery and quality of their accounting, taxation and auditing services.

My client is recruiting for a Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) to join their team of four, reporting to one of the Practices Partners.

Duties are as follows:

* Preparation of statutory financial statements with a proficient working knowledge of stand alone and cloud based accounting systems such as Sage, QuickBooks and Xero along with a good knowledge of Excel

* Plan, undertake and complete statutory true and fair audits

* Completion and filing of corporation tax computations/returns

* Submission of VAT returns with a broad and sound understanding of VAT rules

* Assist in ad hoc assignments such as preparation of business plans, due diligence reports etc.

* Managing and mentoring junior staff

* Liaising and corresponding with clients and other third parties (e.g. HMRC)

* Servicing a diverse portfolio of small and medium sized businesses across a number of industry sectors.
