Electrical Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Team Leader to work for our client in their cold form engineering department based in Corby.

The Role

Reporting to the Process Engineers, this is a plant-based skilled role within the Cold Form Engineering department.

Principal accountabilities will be, but not limited to:

Govern and propagate the correct use of the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) throughout the manufacturing and engineering operational areas in line with local operational reliability objectives.
Ensure that the CMMS is actively updated and in compliance with business policies and assist in all aspects of the business wide Journey to Reliability.
Provide support and breakdown cover to the Cold Mills, Slitting Plant & South Warehouse.
Engineering and maintenance responsibility for the Cold Mills, Slitting Plant, & South Warehouse including all buildings, infrastructure and utilities. This will include supervision of plant personnel and external contractors where necessary.
Assist Process Engineers in developing engineering improvements, resolving breakdowns and management of engineering personnel.
Drive the execution and continuous improvement of engineering plans across the engineering teams with the support of local Process Engineers.
In addition, will be required to train and work as an operative on the Cold Mills as necessary.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience of working in a heavy industry environment in an engineering role.
Preferably educated to HNC level in an electrical discipline.
High degree of self-motivation, commitment and confidence, excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills. Having the ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities also will be required to resolve arising situations quickly and effectively.
Ability to work on Siemens PLC, HMI and Scada control and AC/DC Drive systems is essential.
Experience in maintenance execution.
Experience of working with a CMMS ( SAP).
Experience of using the Root Cause Failure Analysis technique.
Strong inter-personal skills, computer literacy and proficiency of using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
