Process Line Technician (PLT)

Responsible to: Shift Manager

The role:

· Checking and weighing raw materials

· Ensuring that machine settings are correct including blancher temperatures/times,

freezer/water temperatures

· Completing simple machine maintenance

· Maintaining a clean production environment

· Running quality checks including chlorine levels,

· Complete Hygiene procedures

· Sortex Operating

· Responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of the lines are as required

· Any other adhoc duties as required

Job Related Experience/Skills

Essential:

· Relevant experience of working within a food processing/manufacturing environment · Good general level of education, including Maths and English · Good knowledge of Health & Safety · Basic Food Hygiene · Proficient in the use of computers · FLT Licence

Desirable:

· Level 2 Food Hygiene · MHE trained · Chemical awareness/ handling trained

· Good communication skills · Good organisational skills · Analytical and problem solving skills · Able to accurately follow documented procedures · Excellent attention to detail · Able to work autonomously and within a team environment · Able to remain calm under pressure · Able to multi-task · Team player
