Teaching Assistant - Secondary School
Rate of pay - £63.52- £70.00 per day dependant on experience and qualifications
Full time or part-time Monday - Friday, between 8:30 am - 3:45 pm
Vetro Education is extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants experienced in working with secondary aged pupils with special educational needs and who would be interested in supporting secondary schools in Rhondda Cynon Taf on a long term, short term or Ad Hoc basis.
With the COVID-19 crisis having a huge impact on the current academic year, many schools and provisions have turned their attention to preparation for the next academic year and their staffing for September 2020.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 months experience as a teaching assistant.
Experience working in either key stage 2, 3, 4 or 5.
Classroom Management skills.
Knowledge and experience of special educational needs or disabilities.
DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new DBS.
Registered with EWC or willing to register.
Responsibilities:
Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons.
Support pupils with their learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
Assist pupils at break time with their lunch.
Engage pupils in the classroom and out-of-classroom activities.
Work to the school's behaviour management policies.
