We’re seeking motivated and enthusiastic people to join our team and help us maintain our position as a trusted market leader.
We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives at our site based in Hereford to work days. It is a Fixed Term Contract until 31st January 2021.
To be a Production Operative in our SITE team you will need enthusiasm, commitment and an eagerness to learn. Whilst undergoing on the job training, you will also undertake development in the areas of food safety and health & safety.

Working Hours: 09:00 - 14:30 / Monday to Friday
Job Grade: £ 9.28 per hour
Purpose of the role
As an integral member of the Production team you will enable your lines and the rest of the site to meet different customer’s needs to the required quality and safety standards for Avara Foods.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Understanding and attainment of both individual and department targets.
Carry out all duties in line with customer specifications and requirements.
Carry out all duties in line with bird welfare, food legislation, customer specifications and requirements.
Co-operate in the continuous improvement of Avara Foods quality, safety and productivity standards.
To meet housekeeping and hygiene standards individually and as part of a team.
Compliance with food safety and HSE guidelines
To carry out instructions as given to you by your Team Leader/Management
Manual handling of plant and equipment.
What we are looking for
Functional skills in English and Maths.
Proven experience within a production/manufacturing setting showing an understanding of a fastmoving process.
The ability to work well within a team and communicate with all levels of staff.
Good attention to detail.
