Production Operative

Amazing PERMANENT opportunity for 30 x Production Operatives based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. We are looking for dedicated, positive, hardworking individuals to join leading UK flower retailer.

Shifts starting time: 7 am or 8 am. At the moment, factory operates on two different shifts: Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday to Thursday.
Role responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team and be trained against Standard Operating Procedures within the department.
• Train/buddy up with general operatives to teach skills in wrapping/bouquet making/sleeving/box making etc.
• Follow and adhere to the clean as you go' policy for the site.
• Can operate the bucket machine and strap machine if required.
• Have a basic understanding of Health and Safety to apply to the role including manual handling, and working with sharps when cutting flowers
• Ability to understand and follow customer specifications against orders and deadlines
• Recognise good and bad quality flowers

Skills required for the role:

• Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Team player

In return of your hard work, you will be offered:

• Pay rate of £8.72p/h and overtimes rates after 40h
• Permanent contract straight away, if successful during recruitment process
