Teaching Assistant - SEN
Tavistock, Devon.
Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience in the SEN sector?
Are you looking for either a part time or full time role within an SEN school?
With the COVID-19 crisis having a big impact on the current academic year, many schools and provisions have turned their attention to additional support staff from October 2020 onwards.
As a result Vetro Education are extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants experienced in working with pupils with a variety of special educational needs and who would be interested in supporting schools on a long term, short term or Ad Hoc basis.
Vetro Education have worked in partnership with a number of Local Education Authorities in the supply of SEN staff for a number of years and the Teachers and Teaching Assistants who have worked with Vetro have had plenty of positive things to say about their experiences.
While at the school your duties will include:
Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons.
Support pupils with their learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis.
Assist pupils at break time with their lunch.
Engage pupils in classroom and out-of-classroom activities.
Work to the school's behaviour management policies.
Minimum requirements:
Minimum of 3 months experience of working with children in an SEND environment.
Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one.
References covering the last two years (no gaps).
Right to work in the UK.
