We have had a fantastic opportunity come up for a Technical Licensing Officer to work with Bromsgrove District Council. The role is to help the Licensing Senior Practitioners and the Licensing and Support Manager to ensure the effective delivery of agreed business objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Production, attendance and presentation of reports on individual cases and change of Policy at Licensing Committee’s and Licensing Sub-Committees and other external bodies as required.
* Evidence gathering, production of material for court and court appearances in relation to licensing matters.
* Prepare correspondence, statutory notices and reports required for the effective performance of duties and ensure proper and accurate recording of information whether using manual or computer systems.
* Investigation of reported incidents and complaints related to licensing matters within Worcestershire and further afield as necessary; including compliance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act. This may include overt surveillance as necessary and compliance with the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act.
* Carry out monitoring of, complaints and incidents including analysis and interpretation of results, taking statements, recorded interviews under PACE, gathering evidence, preparing reports for formal action and issuing warnings for minor non-compliance.
* Where necessary and possible, to facilitate mediation/resolution of matters raised in objections to a licence application between licence holders and the public in accordance with relevant Council policy.

Hourly rate: Up to £12
