Job Responsibilities

Working alongside the SLT, ensure there are policies, procedures, systems, structures, resources and personnel in place to promote the welfare and protection of children
Activity work jointly with parents/carers
To promote and implement the school's Behaviour for Learning Policy.
To liaise with teachers, LSAs and parents to ensure the safety and well-being of our pupils
Job requirements

Legal right to work in the UK
Graduate degree
Minimum 1 year experience
Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or overseas Police clearances (if applicable)
Strong communication skills
Strong behaviour managementSafeguarding & Wellbeing Officer: A school in Newham are seeking to appoint an experienced and diligent Safeguarding Officer from January 2021 interviews will start this monthh.

They require someone who can work on their own initiative whilst being a good team player. They will need both sensitivity and robustness in order to ensure that children's wellbeing and safety is at the heart of everything the school stands for. They will need to be a confident, professional & approachable communicators, as they will be liaising with external and internal stakeholders, including staff, students, parents and the wider community.

The successful applicant should have good time management skills, be able to meet deadlines and have a flexible approach to work as priorities could change at short notice. A good level of all Microsoft Office Suite applications and excellent numeracy, literacy and ICT skills are essential.
