Are you an experienced Support Worker looking for your next role in Gloucester? Our client is looking for Support Workers to work nights in the Gloucester region. Treating people with respect and dignity is a crucial element of this care worker role.
This position will be on an ad hoc basis involving mainly nights. There are a variety of hours required, please get in touch with Anca from the Manchester office to find out more!
This temp Support Worker role comes with a rate of £10.54 per hour.
In this Support Worker job, you will be working with vulnerable adults with drug and alcohol related issues and mental health issues. Night shifts mainly comprise of operating the electric doors and ensuring that all those who enter are allowed to be there.
As a Support Worker, you will also be on site to offer help by answering queries, liaising with different services, interacting with people and help maintain peace and quiet within the service.
This is a challenging environment, so you will also find yourself sometimes de-escalating and diffusing situations.
The ideal Support Worker will:
* Be someone who is a "people person", is self assured, and can get along with the residents
* Be willing to work in a challenging environment, be calm under pressure, be resilient and willing to make a difference
There is no prerequisite to have worked in homelessness before, and we are completely happy to induct people with transferrable skills
As part of this Support Worker job in Gloucester, you will receive a free DBS and competitive rates of pay paid weekly. COVID-19 has put extra pressure on all nursing services primarily in the NHS, so your help and support filling these currently open Support Worker, Care Worker and Community Services vacancies are much appreciated.
