Secondary SEND HLTA Needed in Birmingham
We are currently looking for an experienced LSA for a fantastic SEND school in Birmingham. The School has a variety of needs that students need assistance including SEMH, MLD/SLD and Challenging Behaviour from KS3 to KS5. Due to the nature of the role, it will require an awareness of Health and Safety, first aid would be beneficial to ensure a safe welcoming classroom.
All applicants must be NVQ Level 3 qualified or equivalent and have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with SEND requirements. The role will require integrating into the class and supporting the implementation of curriculum.
Other key elements of the position include classroom preparation, 1:1 work with students who require additional support, leading group work, a knowledge of safeguarding and helping with pupil observations.
