Job Details
Our client who is based on the outskirts of York is a leading manufacturer who have recently repurposed their lines to produce hand sanitiser. Due to growth our client is now looking to recruit 2 Production Operatives to work on a temporary to permanent basis.
To be a team member in the production function who focuses on quality control and line operative work. Ensuring you work in a safe and effective manner to support the business in achieving their production targets.
As a Production Operative your responsibilities will include;
Supporting on a production line ensuring product is packed in line with customer specification in a timely manner.
Good visual analysis to enable you to differentiate between different chemical signs.
To maintain levels of Quality Control
To maintain levels of housekeeping and ensure all recycling initiatives are adhered too
To work effectively and safety in line with all Health & Safety requirements
To carry out any other duties within the broad remit of the role as requested from time to time by the relevant supervisors and managers.
The successful Production Operative will have;
Work experience in a Production or Warehouse role
Experience of working under time pressures.
Adequate literacy and numeracy levels for the role.
Good communication skills for liaising with colleagues.
Self-disciplined with a methodical and organised working style - able to manage own work load, quality and output effectively.
Reliable and punctual.
Willingness to learn.
Able to appreciate and fit into a Customer focused and Continuous Improvement environment.
Willing and able to work shifts when required
Hours of work will be 6:00 am to 2:00 pm or 2:00pm to 10:00pm
Pay rate is £8.72 to £9.00 per hour
This is a Temporary to Permanent position.
