Job Details
Adecco are recruiting for an Ambulance Technician on a temporary ongoing basis in a workshop based in Cardiff City Centre.
The Candidate will be expected to complete maintenance and repair on all ambulance fleet, carry out diagnostics's work and welding / fabrication. The role will be in a busy ambulance workshop environment and PPE will be provided.
The candidate must:
A valid and clean C1 licence
NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Studies achieved through modern apprenticeship / time served qualified equivalent or equivalent qualifications that evidence similar level of professional knowledge.
Sound knowledge of current Risk/Health and Safety requirements in the workshop.
In-depth knowledge of service, maintenance and repair of a broad range of motor vehicles, including manufacturer's standards and requirements.
Auto-electrical diagnostics and repair processes.Specialist knowledge across a wide range of practices and procedures in relation to vehicle chassis and vehicle body manufacturers (including engines, brakes, suspension and electrics.
Competent in modern IT systems.
Desirable skills:
MOT tester qualification class 4 and 7
Detailed knowledge of Fleet Workshop Policies, Procedures and Practices.
Ongoing training - vehicle diagnostic courses
Knowledge of financial and administrative procedures, including stock control, standing order arrangements, ordering of supplies and payroll processes.
Welding and fabrication techniques and procedures.
Detailed knowledge of relevant vehicle specifications and specialist equipment.
Ability to speak Welsh
