Bereavement Assistant
£10.01 per hour
37 hours per week.
We are looking for a Bereavement Assistant to help onsite with the planning and setting up of funeral services.
During the difficult period of Covid 19, there are many restrictions on funeral services, particularly with the number of people that can attend. We are looking for a candidate that is comfortable with approaching people during a very difficult and sensitive time. Part of the role will be to ask members of the congregation to move outside of the funeral premises, and show them how to watch the service following a link either on their phone or laptop.
You will also be on hand to answer any queries from members of the public.
Other duties will include helping to set up for services, ensuring that the venue is set to a high standard, clean and tidy. There can sometimes be some outdoor work, with general weeding and tidying of the cemetery.
We have two sites to cover. Both Weston Mill and Efford.
This is a role that would suit someone with an exceptional level of customer service and empathy.
You will have a confident and understanding manner, with strong communication skills.
