Job Details
The role starts with being responsible and main contact for our Supermarket Customers, managing stock holding, planning orders, stock movements, back office work for new product listing, off and on-site stock takes, planning promotions within our own cash and carry outlets and driving cost down through efficiencies.
The Role:
Controlling the sales forecast
Agreeing the timing of the orders placed on suppliers so as to allow sufficient time for the stock to be manufactured and shipped from overseas.
To Manage short date stock
Supporting the load and capacity planning process in collaboration with the warehouse and transport teams.
Arrange deliveries with large business customers and communicate these bookings to the warehouse and distribution teams.
Liaising with major customers supply chain teams , this will entail accessing their on line systems to interrogate sales rates of products, completing customer new line forms, communicating with both customers & sales team
Coordinating with the support team in relation to deliveries, stock availability or any other queries
To take a strategic lead in the improvement of the Company's supply chain and recommend improvements
Manage the introduction of new products.You:
Significant experience and understanding of the full supply chain.
Experience in handling supermarket accounts is an advantage but not essential.
MUST have experience in the FMCG or packaging sector.
Experience of an import & export business is preferred but not essential
