Description

This is a newly created role as a Lending Underwriting Manager. The role involves the management of the consumer lending team, providing direct training and leadership. With plans to grow the team the Lending Underwriting Manager will be responsible for the creation and implementation of all operating procedures around lending and underwriting, ensuring FCA guidelines are followed and that the business manages all possible risks. The Lending Underwriting Team support all customer looking to acquire Consumer Lending products, supporting them from initial application through to aftercare, along with supporting customers going through financial difficulties. This will involve liaising with internal collections teams

Profile

The successful candidate will have experience leading a lending team previously either on the B2B OR B2C side. You will have a strong understanding of lending underwriting within an FCA regulated environment. A key requirement will be to implement all new operating procedures, therefore a process improvement background would be strongly beneficial

Based in the outskirts of Leeds, the role offers a salary of between £40,000 and £45,000 dependent on experience along with company car, strong company pension, free parking and various company benefits

The roles requires 3 days within the office and 2 days working from home
