Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an Experienced Mental Health Social Worker. This is to start ASAP in Lewisham, South East London.

This is a contract role until 30/04/2021

About the role:
*We require an experienced qualified adult's social worker with a minimum of two years mental health experience of different mental disorders to include knowledge, understanding and skills of working with older adults aged over 65 years who have a dementia and/or a mental disorder.
*You need to have a thorough understanding of the use of the Care Act for assessments of need; to recognise and understand safeguarding issues and how to manage this under S42 of the Care Act; to have knowledge and the application of theories on social work, legislations, policies and guidance.
*You will also be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to include occupational therapists and psychiatrists.
*We are also looking for someone with the knowledge and skills in the use of Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act and anti-discriminatory and anti- oppressive policies. And to use values and ethics as required by Social Work England under the Codes of Conduct.

To apply for this role you will need:
*Social Work Qualification with SW England registration
*2+ years Mental Health Social Worker experience
*Knowledge, skills and the application of the Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act as well as a thorough understanding of safeguarding particularly for those with a dementia are desired.
