We have a great opportunity become available for a Residential Child Care Worker working for Derby City Council. This is a temporary assignment with the sight of extension in the future. You will be required to work various finish such 7am to 3pm / 2:30pm to 10pm / Sleep Ins / Waking Nights .
Job Purpose
The role is to work in a Emotional Behavioural Difficulties Home to support 2:1 staffing ratio for a young person temporarily placed with us who has significant and complex needs - learning disabilities, presents as much younger than his chronological age, high levels of challenging behaviour - aggressive, sexualised, racist, sexist, verbal and physical abuse towards staff and young people.
Requirement
The home requires a confident and competent individual who are trained and have substantial and recent experience in working with young people who have learning disabilities and are able to use a wide range of behaviour management techniques and physical intervention.
