Service Manager - Child Protection (Social Work) - Haringey
Service Care Solutions are looking for a qualified Service Manager to join the child protection team based with Haringey Council. The successful post holder will be directly responsible for the line management of the Child Protection Advisors. Haringey are looking for someone with excellent front line practice skills and sound management experience within social care. Please see further details below:

CONTRACT: 12 months fixed term

HOURS - full time
SALARY - £55, 017 - £58,242 depending on experience

WHAT YOU NEED
*Recognised social work qualification
*Satisfactory enhanced DBS outcome
*Post qualifying experience as a manager in a social work setting that includes management of high risk cases and care planning
*Experience of effectively carrying out key legal powers and duties to support families, protect children and look after children in the public care system
*Experience of inter-agency working at a strategic and case specific level
*Ensure practice staff are ambitious for children and families and that the long term and lifelong consequences of decisions are fully considered at all stages of planning and review
*Champion the organisations practice framework (motivational social work) in assessing and interviewing in reducing risk to children at risk of harm and set an expectation that this framework is applied in practice
*Make sound and complex decisions under high pressured, fast paced conditions
*Chair meetings that enhance the understanding of the child's needs, gathers and analyses relevant information to arrive at decisions that promote the child's safety and well being
*Ability to deal with difficult situations including complaints and conflict between carers and young people
*Ability to adhere to the councils dignity for all policy
