Job Details
We are delighted to be representing a well established but expanding UK Top 20 Accountancy practice in their search for an Accounts Junior to join their team in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
The successful candidate will be working with their existing client base which is made up primarily of SME, Sole Trader and Partnerships but also includes charities, schools and not for profit organisations.
This role sits within the Agriculture and Rural team and is split between providing booking services as well as provision of accounts and tax compliance
Duties include:
Bookkeeping
Completing VAT returns
Reconciling bank accounts
Preparing accounts for sole traders, limited companies and partnerships
Assist with preparing income and corporation tax returns
Other duties in line with experience
In order for your application to be considered, you must have the following skills and experience:
Actively studying towards achieving the AAT qualification, with at least 5 GCSE's with a B/6 in both Maths and English
Previous experience within an accounts role is essential
An interest in Rural and Agricultural affairs
Ability to communicate confidently
Work accurately to deadlines
This role will be initially be based from home, especially for the first 3-6 months with the requirement to attend the offices for training or to collect materials
The benefits package includes
Full study support, including paid overtime or time off in lieu
Pension
37.5 hour working week, will flexibility over start and finish times (with prior approval from line manager)
