Deputy Head of Community Safety

A Local Authority based in Greater Manchester is looking for a Deputy Head of Community Safety to join their team.
This is a full time temporary role and the successful candidate will have an understanding of current legislation and national policy related to crime and disorder and will have experience in a similar role.

Primary purpose of the job:
To provide the technical lead with regards to Community Safety.
To ensure partnership working and delivery is developed and is a core principal of governance arrangements.
To support the development and delivery of the Community Safety and Neighbourhood strategies.

The ideal candidate must have:
A proven track record of successful leadership across the full range of community safety services including operating within a multi-agency environment.
Demonstrate an understanding of current legislation and national policy related to crime and disorder.
Demonstrate experience of successful project management, budget management and resource planning to deliver tangible outcomes.
Proven track record in utilising management information to drive performance.
