Accounts Assistant
£21,000 - £24,000, plus Study support towards professional qualifications
Are you a self-motivated Accounts assistant and looking for a fantastic new role in Glasgow?
Are you interested in joining an inclusive employer that will support you inside the business, as well as, with your studies?
You would be working on a full-time basis in Glasgow, earning up to £24,000 depending on experience. Reporting into the Management Accountant, the main purpose of this role is to provide support to the finance team, while gaining invaluable experience in the workings of a busy finance department.
Your daily Accountancy & Finance responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
* Daily banking: downloading all statements and reports from the bank on a daily basis and distributing to the finance team.
* Bank reconciliations - daily reconciliation to the cashbook and general ledger.
* Cash allocations - daily cash posting, reconciliations and distributing to management.
* Assisting with monthly banking returns
* Supporting finance team with month end reporting
* Assisting the finance team with any ad-hoc requirements.
A high level of attention to detail is needed as well as excellent communication and numeracy skills, and ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work on your initiative. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, and be committed towards continuous professional development, as well as, have experience in using Microsoft Excel & an ERP system.
