Stores Person - Automotive Maintenance Store

PART TIME (25 hours per week) - Five Day's a Week (Flexible on Times)

To maintain all spare parts so that the plant can run at its optimum speed and reliability level preventing Production downtime. Complete periodic stock checks.

Identify and set minimum and maximum stock levels depending on delivery times, Usage and availability.

Raising purchase orders for the Engineering department.

Duties include:

Complete all relevant records both paper and electronic with the appropriate level of detail to enable analysis costs and usage. Complete the Identify and set minimum and maximum stock levels depending on delivery times, Usage and availability.

Complete all allocated TPM.

To ensure health & safety is paramount to prevent accidents and subsequent claims.

To meet customer demands, internally and externally, on time and at the right quality.

To be able to work under the Maintenance Assistant Manager's instruction and to act under their own initiative.

To be able to train Members of the Maintenance Team where appropriate.

To maintain and control the spares system ensuring minimum and maximum stock levels are correct.

To identify critical spares.

To ensure that all tasks comply with Health & Safety requirements.

To ensure that any hazardous materials used or created during any tasks performed are disposed of in the required manner according to environmental standards.

Maintain the 2S condition of their work environment in all areas that they are working in.

Complete all stock entry into the store's software

All deliveries need signing for and inputting into store software/location within one day of arrival.

Check daily for parts used by all department via booking out board/emails.

Experience Required:

Stock management
Ordering of critical spares
Stock checks
Production environment
Maintenance stores experience in a mass production environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
They will have a good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements
Computer literate with experience of Microsoft office applications
Able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Practical problem-solving tools and techniques
Experience of TPM systems* A good time keeping and attendance record as well as a clear disciplinary record
