I am currently representing Slough Borough Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate of £14.00 - £16.00
We are looking for a Targeted Youth Worker (NEET) this role will be based at: SL1
The right candidate will:
You will be working as a Targeted Youth Worker within Slough Borough Council; your role will include:
* To proactively engage with young people who are NEET through 1-1 and group work around career advice, guidance, and information in order to secure informed pathways to sustained education, employment, or training
* To provide support to young people to identify and overcome barriers that they may be facing in order to prevent them from needing more intensive specialist services
* Majority of the role will be done virtually, however there are a few appointment which will be face to face where social distancing and PPE will be highly required
The Right candidate will have the following:
* Experience of working as a Targeted Youth Worker (NEET)
* Experience of working with young people aged 16 -19
* Experience of working for a local authority is desirable
