We have a position available for a SEND Commissioning Resource Officer to work with Dudley Council. The role is to manage and develop commissioning functions within the Divisional area of responsibility to meet Directorate and Corporate policies and objectives. This is a temporary assignment up until the beginning of next year with the sight to extend.
Responsibilities:
* To ensure that market intelligence and data, including the views of children, young people and their families are used to identify service gaps, unmet needs, and inform any de-commissioning, redesign and commissioning of services in the future.
* To work across all areas of the council, and partner organisations as appropriate, to ensure focused implementation of the Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) commissioning intentions
* Work with the CCG and other key partners across an array of commissioning to ensure that services are integrated, person centred and effective within the SEND arena.
* To actively contribute to, and where necessary, lead in strategic planning activity relating to the current Written Statement of Action.
* To be responsible for the Commissioning and monitoring of an array services that improve quality of life, increase independence and reduce the demand for education and statutory intervention, as part of SEND commissioning intentions.
* To ensure that commissioning interventions fit the requirements of current and future education statutory duties and that services are procured inline with the council’s standing orders/ financial regulations.

Hourly rate: Up to £24
