As part of an ongoing programme of improvement, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) is looking for a motivated individual, to undertake the new role of Digital Learning Specialist.

Creating a blended approach to learning and training is fundamental to us, as we want to recruit, retain and develop people who are passionate in the delivery of a safe, professional and efficient service to the public.

The successful candidate will require an enthusiasm for learning and development, technical IT ability, creative flair and eye for detail.

This role will be responsible for the implementation of a new Learning Management System and for working with internal subject matter experts creating interactive, creative and innovative e-learning content and packages to support a blended learning approach to learning and training.

The right candidate will have great IT skills and a thorough understanding of the learning and development cycle, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Benefits

Salary – Grade 5: £32,029 to £36,876 per annum.

Full-time (37 hours per week).  We are happy to consider flexible working and job-share arrangements. This is a temporary fixed term post for 18 months.

We offer an excellent leave allowance of 27 days (plus bank holidays) per annum, free parking and on site gym facilities, as well as numerous other benefits.

The roles will be based in our Headquarters at Newsham Court, Calcot, Reading with travel around the county.

Applicants will be expected to detail their personal skills, qualities and attributes against the Job Profile.  Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to attend an interview and undertake a selection exercise.

The closing date for the return of completed application forms is 10:00 on 25 November 2019. It is anticipated that the selection process will take place on 6 and 9 December 2019.
