Background

Sheffield Mind provides a range of services for people with mental health problems. The General Counselling & Therapy service has been part of Sheffield Mind’s services for several years and is currently funded through a grant from the local Clinical Commissioning Group. In addition, Sheffield Mind delivers an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioners Service, as part of the Age Better Partnership, funded by the Big Lottery and managed by South Yorkshire Housing Association. The Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner Service offers a wide-range of counselling approaches to people over the age of 50, in their own home as well as in community settings and at the Sheffield Mind office.

South Yorkshire Community Rehabilitation Company is one of twenty-one CRCs across the UK commissioned by the Ministry of Justice to deliver Probation services to convicted offenders. We manage individuals convicted of crimes such as shoplifting, harassment, domestic abuse or motoring offences who are assessed as low or medium risk of harm. We work with people serving their sentence in prison and in the community. Our purpose is to reduce reoffending and risk of harm, and to improve the quality of life of those under our supervision and care
