Due to our success, popularity and determination to provide an outstanding service, we are now looking to recruit an Administrator with someone that shares our passion and enthusiasm.

Job Purpose:

Here at the SL Shop we have a long history of servicing and restoring classic Mercedes-Benz models, and have a reputation for excellence across all aspects of the business.

This role is for a new team member to join us to provide administrative support across various areas of the business.

There is no age barrier to this business. Whether you are young and enthusiastic with experience, or have a head full of grey hair then we would love to hear from you.

Statements of accountability:

  • Supporting Front of House in terms of filtering phone calls and accessing and responding to voicemails, maintaining our database, activity tracking, analysis and reporting;
  • Working with our Storage function taking calls, invoicing, undertaking payment links, arranging necessary paperwork to customers, maintaining records, carrying out feedback analysis, undertaking audits relating to in and out controls, chasing overdue payments
  • Carrying out essential support for our Sales/Fleet team involving ensuring up-to-date paperwork and files, Tax/MOT/V5 documentation, NOVA forms, number plate changes, credit checks;

Knowledge and skills:

  • Previous experience in a car environment is desirable, ideally within the classic car sector;
  • Enthusiastic approach with good telephone manner;
  • Excellent administrative skills;
  • A strong numerical background is desirable;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written;
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers to ensure our customer service levels are maintained;
  • Significant experience of IT including Microsoft Office Applications, ideally with accounting system software;
  • Team player able to support members in other departments;
